It's springtime in the Vail Valley,
throngs of spring break refugees
from all across this big world are
collecting in the Vail Village,the
Euros with their very furry
footwear, brightly lit one piece
ski suits, and those always
charming attitudes as well as
the Billies in their ski attire
emblazoned with longhorns, A & M's,
Cowboy stars, or anything that screams
YEEEAAAHH! Y-ALLL! Um frum
TEXAS! And denim ski dungarees
to complete the Billie uniform.
Even a couple of clowns such as
Mean Gene and myself found ourselves
there on Wednesday to check it out.
Vail ain't had much of a base all
season, today it was reported to be
a meager 45", not too good for March.
The sun was out partially, not
enough to slush things up, so
much of the skiing was very icy.
The (Al) Gore Range looms across the valley.
The Mean one takes on Lovers Leap.
