What a bizarre day, after scraping
a half inch of ice off of the car,
we trekked up the the hill into
a frozen fog with the temp at about
26 degrees. The higher we got into
the hills, the more the temp rose,
soon the fog burned away and it
was mostly sunny and 53 degrees
in Summit County. Usually the
opposite occurs, leaving the warm,
sunny city only to reach the colder,
cloudy climes of the mountains.
This was a welcome change. Al-X
and I decided to use the last of
our Copper 4 pass today, as this
will be our last opportunity
to enjoy the mountain while it's
still nearly 100% open, Al-X put
on a bit of an air show today, nearly
200 shots were taken on this Good Friday,
it was hard to choose the best, enjoy.
The New London Expressway.
Dissapating Fog.
(to the tune of Otis Reddings
"Down on the Boardwalk")
Out on the Boardwalk,
down by the trees,
on a blanket of snow baby,
with my phat skis.
Be kind, hug a tree.
It's a bird...
Thanks Mr. Ski Patrol Guy for snapping
this fine group photo of the V.L.A.S.C.
( very late afternoon ski club)
We call this trick, "The Dumper"
There I go again.
It's a plane...
Oh... it's me again.
It's Al-X ...showing off
again.
Welcome back to Dreerydom.
It really was exactly as we left the city,
even a bit colder when we returned later
that day. I thought the season might
be done earlier this week, but we managed
to squeak out another good (fri)day.
Thanks Copper for another GREAT season!
We've still got some other places to go
though, so please come back to see.
